One of my favorite places to eat here in Dallas is "The Melting Pot". I love fondue. ;)

It was a fad in the 70.. its a pot that sits in the middle of the table and u cook u're food with the oil in the pot using long fork thingies. u can also do like chocolate fondue for dessert.

hmmm I was born in 63 and I cant say I remember any of my family doing fondue but now that you explained what it is I remember it being a fad. There are lots of other things I do remember about the 70's ...STP stickers got them at the Sunoco gas station free with fillup..of course nothing was self serve gas..you got treated like gold if you bought gas.. 8 track tape players were the bomb ..deep purple the group singing "smoke on the water ". Long hair swade leather boots with strings hanging that guys wore that looked like womens boots. My brother coming home from Vietnam telling me about eating monkey soup. Weird times to me... but I was just a bit too young for the hippy generation. I think. :icon_lol:
