Player Appreciation Week a success!
Posted: Sun Jul 20, 2014 10:59 amIf you haven't been keeping up with the main website's news page [http://www.clan-tkc.com] then you might not be aware that last week was Player Appreciation Week on our BF3 server. Every day last week we gave away 1 free game to a random player on our server. Everyone who won was really appreciative and afterwards, during the rest of the week and since, we have seen those players playing on the server, even those few times when it isn't very full, a very good thing.
We are trying new tactics to get and maintain popular servers. The first thing we did was post a topic in the official Battlefield forums asking people what kind of server names they liked, and which scared them away. The Words "Clan" was a no-no and "Noob Friendly" was considered a good thing. When Flynn made up the new servers name, he applied what we learned and BAM, popular. Of course the settings have something to do with that as well, but every little bit helps. Now, Flynn and I keep watching Humble Bundle, or any good Steam/Origin deals and if we see a good game cheap we snatch it up to give away as a prize. DMP has been helping with that kind of thing for a long time as well.
In addition, I have created a new Battlelog platoon, "Fly Maps NOOB Friendly" and I request that you join it. Eventually we can use this as another way to give away prizes or send out a blast when we need to fill the server. The idea is eventually create a place where, "everybody knows your name". Have a good core of friendly players who know one another, and enjoy our server, whether they are TKC clan members or not.
If you have ideas you'd like us to consider, shout them out and we'll definitely give it a shot if we think it's workable. In the mean time, JOIN OUR NEW PLATOON! That is all.
