I believe DICE was a really good developer, one of the best, then they sold their soul to EA and things just haven't been the same. It seems like with EA as their publisher their focus isn't on making gamers happy, it's about getting into our pockets. Would DICE pre EA release a game on PC without a server browser? Would they charge us $110 for a game leaving out modes including campaign? I don't think so. EA's influence has ruined many a franchise, and it's killing all things DICE quicker than a cobra bite on a pair of balls. Battlefield 4 sold HALF what Battlefield 3 sold and they didn't even release the numbers for Hardline which tells me it did really poorly. With the new Star Wars movie release later this year, I think they will get a push from parents at Christmas time, but to me, this game is shaping up to fail pretty hard. And frankly, we need it to. EA isn't going to ever let developers develop if they keep raking in the money from dumb gamers who have no sack to just say 'no'.

Sorry.. thinking of writing an article on this.. I'm getting pissed.

unfortunately, most gamers today are of the I want it now generation, so they aren't going to wait for anything, they will pre-order/pre-purchase just so they can say they have it and they got it now. Companies realize this, especially EA, and I wouldn't be surprised that it fits into their current business model in some way. Hell if I owned a game company, I would have the same mentality, these idiots will buy anything, so I will push out an unfinished game every 12 months, split the Dev team in half on release, put one half on fixing all the bugs I know are present, and put the other half on creating the next game. Heck I might even sub-contract the fixing of the bugs to another company so I didn't have to deal with all the customers I just screwed over and put the entire dev team to work on my next piece of shiat.

I would like to think I would try to do things the right way. Create and publish games I want to play and to build my reputation by having solid releases WITHOUT a day 1 patch. Look at Naughty Dog, Valve, and Nintendo for game development. Great reputations and profitable. I really think it's the difference between a gamer running a company and a business man, like Bobby "The Douche" Kotick.

Ugh...any hope I still had for a good bad company 3 is gone unless some other company buys the license for it or even better just buy DICE from EA.

EA is a disease.. DISEASE to the gaming industry. They offer nothing to gaming except over priced, unfinished games. Screw EA.

For those who are thinking of buying this game. Using 3rd party distributors can save ya some cash (or plastic ;)).

Origin...

SWBF Std -> $59.99
SWBF Dlx -> $69.99

CJS...

SWBF Std -> $48.96
SWBF Dlx -> $52.02

So yeah, saving almost $20 on the Deluxe edition O_O

Just a heads up.

I would like to get the game, I really would, but I just don't think we can build a community around it. That shouldn't discourage anyone who wants to get the game. It was fun. I think the game mode that we got to play, Walker Assault, could use some more depth and obviously balancing, but it was fun.

well for the deluxe edition all you get is two emotes which you will probably be able to buy with their micro transactions they plan on offering.

Yeah.. the deluxe edition is a rip off. The really expensive edition I wouldn't buy because you'll be able to buy the DLC later and by the time they come out, you might not think much of the game and will want to move on. Especially if you are a fan of the Fallout series.
