So I joined this group during the summer before High School. As of now, I'm finally a college freshman trying to become an engineer.
Over the years I've had fun with ya'll and I've enjoyed the time I've been here, especially after long hiatuses.

So I thought I'd ask for ya'lls wisdom, any life tips?

I'll give you a couple that pertains to your age and where you are in your life, however, they won't be any earth shattering tips that you probably haven't heard..

In college, you are going to be tempted to run up credit.. do not do it. Once you get done with school, you are going to be in enough debit, don't make it worse by running up some credit cards too.

Once you get out and get a job, sign up and start contributing to a 401k immediately and if your company matches a certain percent, make sure you are putting at least that much into it each pay check. I got into a 401k when I was probably 21-22 some where around that age, and by 36 it helped me put a down payment on a beautiful new house (because I had about 150k in it). Now, I'm not saying you should dip into your 401k until retirement, but it did allow me to finally become a home owner and keep my monthly mortgage payments doable. When you retire, if you put money into a 401k at a young age, you can actually have more income in retirement, if you let it grow and you continue to up your contributions when you can.

That's it.

Do things. Don't get stuck in your room playing games or only doing homework. College is the last stage of your life where you're easily able to make good friendships. Sign up for organizations, clubs or sports. Cook your food and eat healthy.
Also, don't do like me and leave all your reading until the last few weeks before exams. It will kill you when you approach masters levels and above (Send help).
Network, make friends and most importantly enjoy your time in college.
