    i5-2500k came in today :D

    YAY ME! :D

I just love Newegg's sense of humor ^_^

I also am going to order the mobo next week after I get paid since I only have 30 days to test this CPU to make sure it's not a DOA.

Sometimes measuring the bottleneck can be interpreted in so many ways. The only Thing ATI can render better then Nvidia is BSoD.

LOL no. It's a MAJOR upgrade. ME's Core 2 Quad beats my 955 Black Edition, and his processor is older than mine. This i5-2500k is gonna BLOW my 955 out of the water. Just look at this chart that compares CPU's for gaming:

    http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/bes ... 675-7.html

My CPU will be at the top of the list just under the i7's, still a whole level above my CPU.

Here's a better Comparison between the i5-2500k and 955 BE

also they state this is there Gaming CPU Heirarchy Chart @ Toms

You can use this hierarchy to compare the pricing between two processors, to see which one is a better deal, and also to
determine if an upgrade is worthwhile. I don’t recommend upgrading your CPU unless the potential replacement is at least three
tiers higher. Otherwise, the upgrade is somewhat parallel and you may not notice a worthwhile difference in game performance.

Considering my CPU maxes out in BC2, and ME's C2Q doesn't go above 60% with BC2...I figured it was time for an upgrade before BF3. That article you linked pretty much shows the 2500k blowing the 955 BE out of the water. :icon_mrgreen:

AMD is good for gaming, and just gaming and non-professional everyday use. If you do anything else like I do (some video encoding, FRAPS recording, etc) you need an intel.
