Ok still not smooth in Battelfield Beta

Ok I have played the Beta a few times and its still not smooth gameplay. I have the latest updates 11:10 installed. Now my thinking is, upon reading about Crossfire is the board I have will run crossfire BUT when the second card is installed in the second slot it runs at X4. The specs in the manual do state that with 2 card installed it is as follows. 1 PCIx at X16 in the blue and X4 in the gray. Now doing some research for a while, some games do suffer when running at X16/X4. Now the board I got only cost $89 after rebate. Thought I try it for that cheapo price and see what happens no big deal. I do have 2 XFX HD 6850 running in crossfire and it is working and detected. Now instead of getting new cards, which I do think would be a waste, im looking at getting another motherboard(figured I would wait and see when the I get the actually game)
Perhaps:

ATI CrossFireX Technology Dual PCIe 2.0 x16 slots support ATI CrossFireX to bring you a breakthrough gaming experience (@ dual x16 speed). ATI CrossFireX boosts image quality along with rendering speed, eliminating the need to scale down screen resolution to get high quality images. CrossFireX allows higher anti-aliasing, anisotropic filtering, shading, and texture settings.

This is really the only good one I can see right now..what do you think?

Looks like a solid board to me.

Spend a little extra and go with a Asus Republic of Gamer board like this...

That's pretty good actually. I was tired and didn't bother to look into any other boards, but the ROG boards are VERY good.

if you go with the ROG board, get the Crosshair V with the 990fx chipset that way you can upgrade to bulldozer if you want to later.

This board shows only for AM3 socket, and isnt the Bulldozer for AM3+?, so this board wont work for the bulldozer and thats fine, I like my 965 CPU.

Here:

about $20 more than the one T linked and that will get you Bulldozer compatibility if you upgrade in the future.

The one crimson posted looks like a good choice because of the upgrade option. I built my current computer, mobo, etc, for BC2, but was able to upgrade it with a new CPU and 2 GPU's for BF3 and it works great. It saved me some money not having to upgrade the whole thing. :)

Speaking of upgrading, have you seen the LGA 2011 motherboards? Some of them have 2 DIMM slots on EACH side of the CPU socket. It looks really cool IMO!

am3 and am3+ are the exact same sockets. if you buy a new board i would go with 990 chip just because it will have UEFI's which are pretty awesome. also republic of gamers boards are expensive for 2 main reasons. 1 for major overclocking so they have ROG connectors and better capacitors. 2nd they have Xfi sound cards built in so your getting a 100 dollar xfi sound card built into your mother board. hands down thats worth the extra money.
