Intel releases Sandy Bridge-E and X79 Express Chipset

Guess what? They're super expensive. Never thought they wouldn't be though. The 3960X is currently $1,049 on Newegg.

Wow, 3960X and 64GB of ram, $2249.98. Plus the CPU comes without a cooler.

This is replacing the 990X, so its suppose to be expensive, I'm not supprised.
I can't wait to see benchmarks tho :icon_mrgreen:

Im sure glad I dont have to spend thousands of dollars for a new computer when my AMD el cheapo system works just fine. :icon_mrgreen:

looks like those who buy into the x79 chip-set can rest easy knowing that those boards will apparently be able to use ivy bridge-e as well. nothing like reusing a crippled chipset for your next platform... way to go intel :icon_rolleyes:
