sometimes your motherboard catching on fire has its perks

i found this on another forum i visit often, the guy was doing some load testing on a gigabyte board with a i73930k, when all of a sudden the monitor goes blank and smoke starts pouring off the motherboard. everything on the board except the video card died.

    here is the video:

GIGABYTE sent a manager with three research and development engineers went to the end-user's house and traded for his faulty gear.

from the looks of it, it was either a faulty board or the fact that he had no air flow going over the board to cool down the heat sinks. to anyone who plans on doing watercooling you still need a fan to blow cool air over the motherboard or you could have a board fry on you.

like nightwolf said you need air cooling too and that was too long for suicide run. that idiot should not have been given a new equipment like that considering he didnt do proper work to his equipment and it was end user error not manufacture error.
