I have been away from playing for a little bit, but the itch is becoming unbearable and need to get back into gaming.

2X SAMSUNG 850 EVO 2.5" 250GB SATA III 3-D Vertical Internal Solid State Drive
1X GIGABYTE Radeon R9 390 DirectX 12 GV-R939G1 GAMING-8GD 8GB 512-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready ATX Video Card
1X SilverStone RAVEN Series RVZ01B Black Reinforced plastic outer shell, steel body Mini-ITX Desktop Computer Case
1X MSI B150I GAMING PRO AC LGA 1151 Intel B150 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 Mini ITX Intel Motherboard
1X SILVERSTONE SFX Series SX600-G 600W +12V 80 PLUS GOLD Fully Modular Active PFC Power Supply
1X Intel Core i5-6600K 6M Skylake Quad-Core 3.5 GHz LGA 1151 91W BX80662I56600K Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 530
1X WD Black 1TB Performance Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6 Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD1003FZEX
A Pair of G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 2400 (PC4 19200)

All of this comes to about $1180 with tax.

I am open to opinions and maybe different options, thus i still have to purchase the steam controller.

Thanks for opinions and suggestions in advance..

are you planning to raid those ssd's?
also i would swap to a corsair PSU like this ones: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6817139155
i have had enough silverstone psu's die on me that i don't recommend them any more.
i'm not sure what your time table is on this build, but i would recommend waiting on a video card if you can, all the next gen stuff are making their way out of the gate now and AMD is releasing their mid and lower range stuff first and rumor has it the rx 480 is suppose to be as fast as the gtx 980 ti for only $300. time will tell if that rumor hold weight.

My current 390 can hold up to a 980ti already. Just besides that, I would wait at least another month for 2 reasons 1) AMD is releasing their next gen GFX and 2) next gen means current gen will drop in price.

NVidia said that Pascal was supposed to HBM2, but their latest GFX's are running 8GB GDDR5, which is what my 390 already runs as it is...so yeah wait and see what AMD does with the next gen HBM2 cards. :)

id like to know how your 390 can keep up with a 980ti when my fury x can't, very few games does the fury x come out on top but not by much.

I agree, I'd wait it out a couple months and look at the new GPUs.

Confirmed the RX 480 will be VR ready and at $199, thre ya go. And Knight it depends on the game, my 390 has 8GB vs the Fury X 4GB, HBM or not, still has more bandwidth for GPU RAM intensive games.

Also my 390 is an OC edition comparable to the 390X...But less $$$
