what's going on?

Hello! I'm a regular on the server (same name as in the forum) and I come here to suggest you guys to visit the server sometimes... like, seriously, the lack of admins is impressive, and the votekick/ban takes too many votes and almost nobody votes. Anyway, the server is going to die because of that, I've seen players quitting to the point where the server is left with 5 people (they eventually quit too), this is thanks to the jet jockeys (thought you had a policy against that?). But that's not it, it looks like the majority of the hackers that are banned from other servers have migrated to TKC, there are racist comments everywhere, jet rammers, griefers, and don't get me started about the baserape (thanks jet jockeys). TKC is one of the few servers that is left and is populated (a lot of servers are dead now) but all this stuff is killing it, Dfire does what he can, but having one admin for a server that is crowded most of the day is just too much for the poor guy ( ͡° ʖ̯ ͡°). So, seriously tho, a little help would be nice. Sorry for the long post, thanks!

First, thank you for playing on our server and posting your concerns on the forum. The Vote Ban/Kick setting is pretty low compared to most servers, the problem is like you said, almost nobody votes. I monitor the server through Pro Con at various times of the day, and when I see that someone is causing a disturbance I will take action. I was actually monitoring the server when Dfire got on yesterday, and even offered up a Prize of Dead Island Franchise pack to the first person who typed Zombies in Chat. Of course nobody typed it so I didn't give it away. Since Dfire was playing I did not pay much attention to Procon after that. I again monitored the server later that evening until another admin (Boo_yaa) got on. I didn't notice any cheaters as I checked out quite a few players (Including you) actually.

I understand your frustration with cheaters and jet jockeys and we have tools in place to try and catch the cheaters, unfortunately you will never catch all of them. As for the jet jockeys, we tried rotating in a map that breaks up the fly maps to help deal with that issue, but it seems that when the server empties, it's always on that map so we took it out per the request from Dfire.

We never tolerate any kind of racist comments, and if you encounter someone who is making such comments and there is no admin around, please let us know here and we can easily view the chat logs and take immediate action. We do have a plug in that should be automatically be kicking/banning those folks. I will look into that plug-in to ensure that it is working properly. Recently one of our plug-ins had gotten turned off so that may have contributed to some of the issues you may have experienced.

And to add to what Bartowx is stating, we really do need to get a handle on the jet jockey problem, as most of them are arrogant and selfish (let their team loose while they have a 40-4 KD). I always tell the major jet people, this is a conquest server, not air superiority, treat it as such. But like I said, some don't care. These are the one we have problems with. As I told Bartowx, the only way to get to be a server admin is via clan membership, and a little while after that (took me a whole year).

I have a few friends that know how to use jet but they are not jet jockeys, since they don't go 40/0 and don't kill the whole opposite team, they just do it for fun, (sometimes I do it myself) but there are orhers that make the game unplayable (like CX-Mooky).

Easiest way to find out is the stat check them and see what their vehicles stats are...the player, CX-Mooky, you are refering to has over 600 service stars in jets alone, next vehicle coming in at about 50...

I have tried a voteban but its really hard to get enough to kick someone that has made inappropriate comments and jet jockey playing on top of people who may be hacking. It does suck when there is nothing you can do and people start leaving the server.....

dflynn is currently working on a situation with Adkats plugin for our server. I usually warn jet jockeys before the kick/ban, it's about a 50/50 shoot if they listen, leave, or bitch.

Boo_yaa you should have admin rights so you should be able to Warn, kick and ban people.

Took me 7 years, and I just found out from Dflynn last night.

Hello, it's me again, you guys should keep an eye on HyperAdmin and GnarlyMXiiT, they have been jet ramming the friendly heli (even if it isn't friendly, as long as I'm in it) for the past few days, it's getting annoying and I have witnesses. Thank you!
