Now Cobra this is what i just rambled together so if you need a case and(or) Os it leaves some room,
    Your Gpu
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814127575
    Your Mobo
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6813131668
    your PSU
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6817139009
    Your CPU
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6819103849
    Your Ram
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6820231308

wow that is pretty nice! but i think ill find some lower priced stuff, cause i need to fit in there a 45 or 60 GB SSD and a TB HDD. Also, ill try to find the equivalent on tigerdirect or newegg.ca.

Another good website, fellow Canadian, is CanadaComputers.com
Sometimes its cheaper then Tigerdirect. I have a Canada computers 20 mins away from me, and they also do shipping across canada for 1/3rd the price of tigerdirect.

Sometimes measuring the bottleneck can be interpreted in so many ways. The only Thing ATI can render better then Nvidia is BSoD.

i've built quite a few computers in my day, and just remember dont get fancy. keep it simple and you will be okay. i've failed on more then one occasion trying to get all fancy and complicated and the best computers i've owned were the ones where i just kept it simple.

1 thing i will say cobra is a 430 is kinda low for that setup you will have to replace it down the road if you do any expansions to crossfire, fans, hdd, ram or sound card.

Re: Need help building my first PC.

If you're looking for a Canadian eTailer, NCIX is probably the best out there. It's good because not only is it like Newegg with all the sweet deals and expansive product line, but the activity as a company is amazing. One of the workers actually makes videos explaining value to performance and information behind certain PC parts every few days. Unlike Newegg, the videos are actually informative and the people in them aren't complete idiots.

Now, onto my opinions for parts. Intel, and nVidia. Once you purchase products from either manufacturer, you get a huge feeling of "That payed off." When it comes to ram, choose 1333 or higher, and more expensive doesn't always mean better performing. Look at the specs for each, and the reviews behind each, and then choose, to keep your wallet fat. This also applies to other parts, as you want the best value to performance, which can still end up being a fantastic, future-resistant product. At this time, definitely go for a sandy bridge configuration if you go Intel. It's either less expensive or at the same price as older boards with higher performance, and will allow a cheaper PSU, since the power output is way lower. For HDDs, look for 64MB cache and SATA 6.0GB/s, best under WD's Black drives. SSDs are best by OCZ, but if you want a cheap, low GB choice just for OS boot, than almost any brand is fine, since almost all are blazing fast. Cases are really your call, because anytime someone suggests a case to me, it's either missing what I like, or not the right size, etc. But IMO, the best case manufacturer is Lian-Li, from the all aluminum to the dust filers in every intake. It will cost a pretty penny, but it's worth it in the long run. Other good ones are definitely the new cases by both NZXT and the HAF series by Coolermaster. I'm a big fan of dust filters, but again, cases are your call. If possible, don't get a super expensive top-of-the-line GFX card, because the price/performance ratio really becomes bad once you get out of reach of the high-mid range cards. Probably the best "mid-range" card at the moment is the GTX 560 Ti, since it's covered by so many companies and their third party coolers. MSI has the new Twin Frozr III, along with other companies like ASUS' new Direct CU. Power supplies are usually dominated by Corsair and Silverstone, since they make really good designs, great efficiency, at very nice prices. OCZ's new PSU's are also good. If you have the remaining money, go for an extremely high power, high efficiency, modular PSU, because once it's time to upgrade, it will take many many years before you'll need to upgrade the PSU. SO instead of buying an $80 one every two years, you buy one $200 which can last many years more, depending on your computer's demand. Good MOBO manufacturers are definitely ASUS and Gigabyte, and EVGA in the really high end MOBOs.

I've typed for far too long, but here's what I've got. Hope it helps, and good luck.

When buying parts use Canadian Tiger Direct and Canadian Newegg

Cheap prices at least they are in my opinion. Also when actually buying the parts send me a pm a day or two before, I'm signed up to receive discount codes from them and I'll send a few your way.

Thanks pengwin you really hit the nail on the head. you pretty much did suggest the parts i put up with out actually saying so. But this is all suggestions guys you can choose what you want. Just a good reminder replace the thermal compound or thermal tape on the cpu and gpus most are crap and dont allow the best heat transfer.
